The Dark Knight equates vigilante with superhero, tricking you!

Stay with me here…

the Federal Reserve (a vigilante institution), defined by its secret mission to fix the inherent social flaws the system creates.

The only difference btwn. a vigilante and a superhero is that government accepts the superhero whereas government does not accept a vigilante. So there is no difference between a vigilante and a superhero if a government secretly accepts the vigilante…which is what happens in Dark Knight.

The Federal Reserve is not a vigilante if its secret mission is accepted by society.

This is what made the Dark Knight so tragic… it toggles at the heart strings of children to have them equate a superhero with a vigilante and accept that a secret mission is necessary for their security as opposed to the open mission of a superhero.
