all the talk is that romney is happy when ron paul finishes ahead of the others because ron paul isn't a threat to them.
but let's get real, if everyone dropped out and it became a two-man race, romney would not look forward to debating ron paul one-on-one. nobody would want to debate ron one-on-one, from rick perry to mitt romney, to barack obama!
one real curiosity i have is if everyone would somehow be out of the race after florida, would the media push for any more debates? if they did, would romney duck paul? i suspect that he would evade any one-on-one, and i suspect the media would praise him for it, being a smart strategy as the front-runner to just stay out of sight and not do anything to turn the tide.
