to destroy the romans. he told them to give to ceaesar what was caeser's. he told the jews that he was not here to fight a worldly battle against the romans but to fight for souls. so, even with all the power of his heavenly father, he refused to deliver the jewish people from rome. i would say that by today's republican standard that jesus was very anti-isreal.
