Collecting vast energy reserves with becoming self sustaining. The Chinese devalue their currency with even bigger bailout ridiculousness and centralize their food production and population. They are a long way from sustainable. Communism is always undone by it's leadership and economic failings.
The only reason why China is not falling apart right now and a lot earlier is that we have an uncompetitive regulatory and tax environment and a reputation that makes the world over and a short lived production boom which by all appearances seems to be slowing. Even then, aren't they on the verge of a Jasmine revolution?
The young workers there seem pretty dissatisfied too. I think they have no intention of fighting for China and it would be a bad idea to militarize China externally. A trade war works for them until we can no longer police the world. Then they lose their own leverage.
