Everyone shares a part of the problem, but not everyone equally.
In the words of the great Billy Joel, we did not start the fire, no we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it.
The problem is the government that has grown under the eyes of the people. The people have failed in their duty to reign in government.
And, it isn't like there was a singificant minority opposing these things. Up until recently, the federal reserve was universally loved. Cold War policies were universally supported. 91% of American supported our invasion of Iraq.
