Hey don't get me wrong, Dave is doing a great thing!
I understand the risk guys like Dave are taking, and I appreciate what they're doing to teach others. It's just that, my impression was the doctor's decision didn't have anything to do with Dave's political activism, but just something completely arbitrary (like the doctor being rubbed the wrong way). In light of that, I sensed a "teachable moment" concerning the medical profession.
Doctors, nurses, dieticians, and others in the medical field are among the most highly brainwashed members of our society. They are unwitting shills for big pharma/agri. And they truly believe that anyone who does their own medical research and makes their own health decisions is dangerous to themselves and others. And as this story shows, some will not hesitate to report you for it.
In a paper published in the Journal of the American Medical Association called "Error in Medicine," Dr. Lucian L. Leape wrote that if one counted up all the iatrogenic (caused by medicine) deaths annually, including deaths from adverse drug reactions, medical error, surgical complications, unnecessary procedures, infections, malnutrition, outpatient complications, and bedsores, they would add up to be greater than any other cause. (!)
That's right, hospitals are the number one cause of death in America.
Dave should know that cardiologists especially don't know shit. Watch the documentary "Fathead" and you'll see what I mean.

"Food, Inc." and "Farmageddon" are good ones too. Good books are "A Life Unburdened," "Nourishing Traditions" (a cookbook), and "Nutrition & Physical Degeneration" (a study of the worlds healthiest ISOLATED societies).
Watch and read these, and you'll not only be more knowledgable about health than your doctor, you'll never want to go to a doctor again.
Not that doctors are dumb, they're just brainwashed. You non-brainwashed, non-statist doctors out there know what I'm talking about :)
Now that I think of it, the doctor probably tried to put him on Lipitor or something, and Dave refused, so the doctor declared him insane. I could totally see that happening.
