They are mistaken

It is true that too many people in this country think that the voting process is a pure democracy. However, that is just mob rule, when the ignorant and easily-manipulated have as much voice as someone who studied the issues and everything at stake.

Our founders didn't want our country run by ignorant masses. They wanted it run by people who actually know what's going on. That is why they set up a republic instead of a democracy.

I understand what you mean, about why "they" would be upset. But that is entirely their own ignorance that caused it. It is not our fault that they are upset. We are doing this right.
