the more authoritative governments are doing this
i doubt it makes much difference.. these market constitute a minuscule share of market activity. china may be a larger portion, but with the way they're handling things, investment is just going to become more and more stagnant for them, with their lack of property rights and everything else. in the end this move might even prop up the dollar.. because people who don't want their currencies enclosed in isolated activities and hamper growth might choose to dump these currencies instead and hold dollar. unintended consequences all over again.
again goes back to the point.. if something is to happen, it has to happen here. i don't get people who think they can get away and somehow moving to a foreign country constitutes of getting away.
