Comment: A Necessary Pre-emptive War

One politician will go on and on about how it is a waste of money to attack the Sun, that they can't actually strike our soil, and we should keep our troops home, but he'll be ignored, called a kook, and be blacked out by the media.

The Sun kills thousands of Americans every year with its deadly radiation attacks! We need more funding for the Gigantic Space Umbrella to shield the Homeland from space-based radiological terrorism! This is the greatest threat we've ever faced - an enemy so dastardly that scientists say it will one day consume the Earth in fire! We can't let that happen - won't somebody please think of the children?
