Irwin Schiff called me last evening to say how pleased he is to hear of the "buzz" on this forum, and to thank everyone for taking part. He hopes news of it will spread far and wide.
To those unfamiliar with his findings about income tax law, it's worth ignoring his Wiki entry; that was and is a disinformation page. Irwin's own books are of course the best source, and many of them are available free via his site at http://paynoincometax.com - some can be read on line. Additionally there's a summary on the page to which Attorney Waxman referred on 4/4; http://TakeLifeBack.com/irwin - which also gives the high (or low) points about his trial.
Some here have doubted that t-shirts etc sporting FREE IRWIN SCHIFF can actually achieve that aim, and it's a fair point. So here's a new idea, which those close to Ron Paul might bring to his attention.
If (and I know, it's a very big "if" indeed) Ron would contemplate any terms under which he would drop out of the race and endorse Mitt Romney, he could make a list of demands which Romney would swear publicly to implement if elected President.
At the head of that list could come: PARDON IRWIN SCHIFF, and arrange to IMPEACH JUDGE DAWSON.
The effect would be dramatic. President Romney would be endorsing the fact that no income tax has ever been enacted into law and that the best-known discoverer of that has been unjustly imprisoned to keep him quiet. The income-tax revenues would collapse, triggering the $1 trillon government spending cut Ron Paul has promised in his own platform... without his even being nominated. In addition it would undermine the other taxes geared to it: "Social Security" and 44 confiscatory State income tax schemes. There would be an earthquake, under the house of cards called "government."
That would seem to me a reasonable return on the huge and impressive work invested this year by Ron and his dedicated supporters.
