Although I voiced my objections strongly, it's likely in vain, but likelihood should NEVER stop one from doing the right thing. ;)
As I've been discussing elsewhere, it's time to seek alternatives to the InterNet which includes DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale). I'm NOT joking and further delay in locating and purchasing transmitters will only worsen the problem for 2012. If my ISP is granted immunity to spy for the "Homeland" Security, do you honestly think that I'll retain my ISP? Think again. We're potentially just days away from this real possibility.
