I agree, but as a non-believer, I can personally testify that those virtues are 100% completely independent of religion. I suggest to you that the percentage of people who attempt to practice these virtues consistently in their daily lives are about equal among christians, muslims, atheists, women, men, heterosexuals, homosexuals, caucasians, african americans, indians, etc... As we have seen in these political races, religion can often be an impediment to morality and common decency (Santorum and his dealings with religious leaders -- perfect example).
