Most Under-hyped Intellectual Television Event in History?
Is it just me or is this one of the most under-hyped intellectual television events in modern history? This should have been heavily promoted and broadcast live prime-time in front of a live audience possibly at a major University. Krugman is the absolute best the left has to offer right now and Paul is the absolute best we have to offer. This debate basically epitomizes the real Tea Party vs. the real "socialist" Occupy Wall street.
Paul did well but definitely not his best. He needed to slow down. Extremely intelligent people often have a difficult time slowing down and translating complex topics into easy soundbites. Peter Schiff is very good at breaking things down to a general education level. We may realize that Paul was spot on but the average viewer was most likely completely lost when he discussed monetary history.
