The word "FORWARD" used by the COMMUNIST propaganda

The word "Forward" in Russian is вперёд. As the Moscow Times explains it, "Вперед is another adverb that refers to an action moving toward either a physical space that lies ahead or a time in the future." Forward implies progress. In the Russian communist propaganda it was used to indicate an attack, or a continuation of an attack.

Following are some posters from that time (translation done mostly using Google Translate):

Under the banner of Lenin - FORWARD to the West! (full link)

In the name of the Motherland - FORWARD heroes! (full link)

Valiant soldiers - beat the enemy! FORWARD to the West, for the complete liberation of the Soviet land! (full link)

FORWARD to the West - Red horsemen (full link)

Under the banner of Lenin - FORWARD for the Motherland, for our victory! (full link)

FORWARD, to the victory of communism (full link)

Chinese propaganda:

Go FORWARD, follow the great leader Chairman Mao! (full link)

..., FORWARD, the bayonet! (full link)
