The FDIC has zero dollars; it has been a scam since its inception. Also, from what I've read there is only between $500 and $1000 physical dollars, in existence, for every American. I would use your ATM card to extract as much cash as possible; or you could get BOA to give you a certified check fro your total balance and then open an account in a more sound bank -preferably a local non-national bank or Credit Union -which are better than banks.
