Comment: We just got outplayed in Nevada.

Before we won the vote to reject the bylaw committee report, there was a motion to CEASE ALL NEW CHANGES TO THE BYLAWS. This was the vote we should have called for a division and count on. We did not. The chair upheld this as passed. We clearly had the votes and got screwed because nobody called for a division. After the vote to reject the report they knew we were in a solid majority and would figure out quickly about the vote taken JUST before the vote to reject the report which we won. SO THEY WANTED TO ADJOURN as quickly as possible.

We were outplayed and because we did not challenge the chair's ruling on the vote to CEASE ALL FURTHER BYLAW changes we can no longer make a motion to UNBIND. Not the end of the world as we will still have the majority of delegates, but adjourning is not a victory... it's what the Romney folks wanted and we got played. We were so excited about winning the meaningless vote to reject the report that we did nothing to take advantage of our numbers. They will be ready for us in the morning and our advantage is gone.
