Business started this morning, they ran into shifty business when there were individuals that walked into the delegation and began to send out fake delegate slates that look similar to the Ron Paul slates. As time went on…it became apparent that more visitors and other guests were present and what they were doing, they were adding to the voice votes. That led to a whole big mess…There were conflicts with the credentials report. No business could be conducted because the integrity of the vote was compromised. The counterfeit slate matched identically to the Romney slate. They were adjourned for lunch. They then began to separate the guests, press, and alternate delegates in another section. The credentialed delegates are now seated in their own area. Ron Paul spoke after all the delegates are seated. Eventually, nominations were suggested for the national committeewoman and committeeman. They then voted for both spots. Diana Orrock for national committeewoman and James Smack for committeeman. There was some confusion caused by the fake slate, which included Smack on there. The fake slate was made up of a majority of Romney supporters, with some Ron Paul supporters, but those were intentionally spelled wrong to add to the confusion.
After a long while… the winners of the national committeeman and committeewoman spots were secured in a Ronslide by Ron Paul supporters. Diana Orrock won the national committeewoman spot, and James Smack won the national committeeman spot. Ustream viewers bought 40? boxes of pizzas for everyone at the convention. Details were given about who was passing out the fake Ron Paul slate. Right now they are voting on delegate spots.
(they never did finish counting the votes for delegates before adjourning at midnight)
