And others could bypass the U.S. dollar and use another currency to trade with, this alone would change everything. A world war would have to involve China and I highly doubt China would fight for the west. In saying that China has a trillion plus dollars propping up the U.S. economy and they could move their markets to other consumers such as the emerging economic powers, the BRIC's.
