What makes you sense that? I don't recall making any pro Obama comments here or elsewhere. I have previously stated that I hope Ron Paul wins primarily for his promise to return the US military home from the many nations they currently occupy.
My posting in this thread are observations only. Just because I describe what I see in France vis-a-vis a return shift to socialism does not mean that this is something that I am happy with. Far from it.
As for Obama, I must admit that I was one of those Europeans chearing on when he was elected. I felt that it was an important social milestone for the US in bring it citizens together, black and white. He also promised to reduce military spending and bring an end to torture.
All promises broken left me with a heavy heart. I cannot express how deeply I desire that Ron Paul become president. Like many other supporters I don't agree with all that he stands for but at the base of it ...I would accept a few minor policies for an honest politician that promises to bring an end to the American Military Empire. I don't agree with Christian prayer in classrooms and a few other issues which I see as minor in view of the issues facing all citizens of this world.
Returning to the topic of this thread. I am concerned with the current trend in Europe and in some other regions of the world. Socialism I fear is on the rise and republicans in the US need to study this carefully.
