Comment: I'm against Pell Grants, but I've gone through
I'm against Pell Grants, but I've gone through
two years of college so far on Pell Grants. If it weren't for Pell Grants, the cost of college tuition and books wouldn't be so high, and I could afford it without the Pell Grant. Or, there would most likely be some sort of private grant in my state that could take the place of the federal Pell Grant. The way I see it. Since, you're paying for it with your tax dollars anyway, it's not hypocritical to oppose it, yet accept it. It's like when RP accepts earmarks to help get some of his constituents' money back. He's against the federal spending, but he's also against the high taxes his constituents have to pay to the federal government, so I don't believe that's hypocritical at all.
