I can tell you with absolute certainty that the rules were violated. I was shouting it from the mic. To quote the Rules of the Oklahoma Republican Party:
Rule 18- Nomination and Election of Delegates to National Convention and Presidential Electors
(d) Nominations at State Convention: At the State Convention convened for the purpose of electing Delegates-at-Large and Alternates-at-Large to the Republican National Convention, qualified nominations of the State Executive Committee shall be placed before the convention by the State Chairman, and all other qualified nominations shall be received by the chairman of the State Convention in accordance with the rules adopted by such convention. Election of the Delegates-at-Large and Alternates-at-Large shall be by roll call vote.
That did not happen. I personally Point Of Ordered it from the mic. I shouted it. I was overruled. I was called out of order. I said the chair is out of order. I took it to the Chair of the OK County Convention Rules Committee, and the Chair of the OK County Convention, who are both establishment types and not on my team. I showed them the rule. I told them the results would be challenged in Tampa. We - all three of us - walked to the stage and the Rules Chair from my County - the largest in the state - presented this to the Convention Chair. He ignored it.
The convention did not have 2/3 to adjourn, so all in the parking lot was legal. There was no call for quorum in the parking lot, either.
