If I were a delegate, I would just prefer a realistic estimation of the odds, whatever they were, even if that meant admitting it is a long shot.... before spending thousands of dollars.
But I am of the opinion that building a real movement and long term reform to the party is not a bad goal to be working for at all, and is part of what Ron has always advocated for too. If we can't get the nomination, no, I don't see it as a lame second place prize. I would like better to get the nomination, of course, but I see no reason to stop or give up if we don't. I hope I'm not the only one who feels that way.
