I can't agree more, I even lost nearly 30lbs in 4 1/2 months...

just by skipping wheat and grains in nearly every meal since. I was warned by my primary MD late Dec that I was at pre-diabetic condition (familial/genetic from Mom's side of family)...

Now due to the lost weight, my fbs sugar is in the normal range and same normal values for my HgbA1C (from my last physical end of March); ditto on my triglyceride and LDL levels. My B/P was like WOW!! I feel light on my feet, my joints have no pain at all, esp my feet when I get up from bed in the morning, no labored breathings..none. I eat less starchy foods, abhor those with the highest. I count my calories diligently daily and follow the glycemic index. Eve though I indulge one in a while for the occasional "In-N-Out ,etc" I choose the lowest in calories and be within my target calorie count (less than 1400/day). I kept off the weight ever since. For me, losing weight this way was a breeze (if you have the discipline).
