Comment: Two delegates are better than none, but disappointing
Two delegates are better than none, but disappointing
The Romney people made phone calls and sent out emails. The evening before the convention, the Romney campaign invited all of the town delegates to a free spaghetti dinner with his son Tagg as a guest speaker. Then, at the convention, they passed around the "Conservative Unity Slate", listing 14 Romney supporters that people were requested to vote for, and the national delegate candidates were not allowed any speaking time during the convention. I know RP didn't campaign in VT, but the grassroots people worked hard, so this was still a disappointment. We did get a few alternates, though. I wonder what the chances are that any of the Romney delegates will decide not to go to Florida.
