Not enough communication about the importance of the town caucuses for actually getting our people in the spots we "earned" in the primary. Town caucuses came up relatively quickly after the primary, and most of the Ron Paul folks are relatively new to politics. Before then, most states that required RP folks to organize for caucuses started off with caucuses, and not with primaries like ours.
Our grassroots campaign did great stuff for the primary. We quadrupled Ron Paul's results from 2008, and got almost double what he'd been polling the week before. But I think we got blindsided about the next step, even though some of it is encoded in the Vermont Statutes.
