Calling talk radio

I tried calling in to Levin, Hannity, and Bill Cunningham a lot before Super Tuesday. The Hannity screeners would never let me on.

Levin's phone system seemed to not be working correctly - sometimes I wouldn't get a screener at all but would just immediately hear the program, but either way I would 'mysteriously' get disconnected before ever getting on the air.

Cunningham's show would always act like they were gonna let me on, but it never actually happened. One time he kept saying I was coming up, but then put someone else on until my phone died. Another time I was on hold the whole show, and this was with calling in before it even actually began.

I do believe that if articulate Ron Paul supporters could get on these shows it would be a great way to fight the media bias, but they control who gets on.

Lots of people think Santorum's success was due to his extensive campaigning at the local level, but I think he was almost entirely a media creation. All the radio I mentioned pushed him, especially Levin.

It's also amazing how many people think the media ignored Ron because he wasn't newsworthy. After debates where Ron performed really well, Levin would devote a large part of his show to trying to make him look bad - why would he do this for someone who posed no real threat?

The media is our enemy at least as much as the establishment GOP, and it is sad that we haven't been able to establish any real competition to it yet.

I disagree with a lot of supporters in that I feel that most average citizens out there would be very receptive to Ron Paul if they only could get an accurate picture of what he stands for.

I heard Newt on Hannity today, but I was only half paying attention and I didn't hear the part presented in this thread, unfortunately.
