If you compromise Principle to get on stage, then

you have compromised Principle. It is this very reason that most politicians are flip-floppers. They want to get on stage. They'll do anything to get on stage because of some theoretical "good" they will do when they finally get on stage. But then their hands are tied by the Special Interest Compromises they have made. Do you think it would be OK with Goldman Sachs,if Romney were to pick Rand Paul for the VP slot?
