How about trying a different tack?

Without mentioning the Good Dr, discuss the events that are going on that will affect him directly. Shrinking money, failing Banks, bailouts, a possible Bank run, the UN controlling the internet, instability in the work force, the cost of living. Get him interested in the evils of UN Agenda 21 and how it will cut his freedoms. The erosion of his constitutional rights. And then slowly turn up the heat.
Gentle persuasion can be very powerful.
