Comment: With science pointing in the direction

of mind transcending brain, and other interesting discoveries, we are becoming aware of being spiritual as well as material beings. Someone may kill your body, but there is growing evidence that your 'soul' remains.

Reason and logic don't oppose finding the purpose of spiritual work. In fact, they presuppose it. Some may continue to remain materialists against all evidence, just as there are actually Republicans out there who believe in "anybody, (including Mitt) but Obama" as a way to keep the party going. But the evidence for both continuing existence and the Resurrection of Jesus are strong enough to convince skeptics. (at least those willing to look at the full range of evidence, such as Allen Rex Sandage)
