They protect the State. Secondly, they protect themselves. They are terrorists. The State is waging full-spectrum war against the citizens(economic, cultural, indocrination, I would rather get robbed or even killed by a psycho than call these crazy cops. I tried it once and thinly missed getting roughed up by my neighborhood terrorist sheriff. My step Mom had to hold him back from assaulting me. I just tried to make a anonymous call about the herd of starving cows I was forced to drive by every day. And I got terrorized.
