We're not really debating if abortion is right or wrong

We're debating if it is a STATE issue, or a FEDERAL issue.

Beyond that, my ex-wife used to drink 4-6 cups of coffee a day and still got pregnant. Better not depend on that as birth control.

The vast majority of prengant women participated in sexual intercourse willingly. They(and their partner) are responsible for supporting the life at least until birth. Then give it up for adoption. (There are literally hundreds of thousands of couples looking to adopt. I would wager roughly the same number of abortions are performed every year.) You can't claim it's a violation of her liberty. She created that life, and until it can safely be removed from her and have a reasonable chance at survival, it is her responsibility to care for it.
