all the nuances surrounding these type of events. sure.
and the MSM has always smeared and maligned him anyway. so that's never gonna change, at least not any time soon.
I suppose, my sentiment was more about what casual political observer to those on the fence.
If you ask anything, even if they may not like or understand the ideas that Dr. Paul talks about, personality wise, they have NOTHING BUT great things to say. He is known as "THE Gentleman." Just don't want that tarnished I suppose.
and truthfully though, in the aggregate, there's nothing anyone can do to changes the minds of willfully sheeple pliant people who believe anything they're told anyhow. so I suppose... it's kind of an moot 'worry' on my part as no one can change stupid.
still, doesn't hurt any less, considering what he may be feeling about it all. and, no doubt, as a voracious reader of news, I am certain, he's somewhat dismayed with our natural organic reaction, while hurtful, I'm sure he understands WHY we're reacting this way. still, I'm sure it's hurtful to watch long time public supporters like Alex Jones and Adam riling up the base into a frenzy, which believe me, I too am not immune from.
I just hope the Gray Champ is doing well, healthy, and psychologically ready to address this issue in context moving forward.
I must assume it'd be probably odd for a reluctant leader such as himself to inspire a leaderless movement, yet people looking to him for leadership, and a sense of direction and guidance.
but to me personally, even in a leaderless movement as there is no such thing as no movement, nor coalescence INTO a movement without a key individual or without a few key individualS leading the charge. Hey, we all know the known intellectuals in our movement be it from the Mises set like Lew, Tom, Murphy, Wenzel, Schiff, etc. to our media like AJ, Adam, WeAreChange, Abby Martin, Dice, MatLarson, TMOT, et al. so no 'leaderless movement' is completely leader-less.
and for now, whether he likes it or not, Dr. Paul IS the titular head of the entire liberty movement.
and I agree, because his incorruptible reputation was built on years of him just being himself and not some outward campaign to be seen as such, the Doc will persevere.
But, I'd be lying if I said I didn't MISS seeing him in public: he's been pretty low key since the TX convention speech.
I just hope he's recharging with the loving atmosphere provided by Carol and rest of his loved ones, before he charges on through to Tampa!
Predictions in due Time...
"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul
