My primary recommendation is to maximize, in every way possible, our outreach people being as much like the people they are wishing to reach.

For example, you mentioned "veterans". Many of the young veterans(and some pretending to be veterans) have gotten the foolish notion that our cause is aided by trying to appear as much like the Vietnam era/60's protest veterans. That may be "cool" or may help hanging w/ our dudes and trying to score our chicks but it works strongly and actively against what we are struggling to accomplish.

I cannot stress enough that if you cannot or will not "Blend" with these people and/or present an image they respect-DO NOT TRY to convert them, do not approach them and best of all remain completely out of their sight.

I'll go even further than above-If you see anyone claiming to be an RP supporter that deviates from the Republican ideal model and/or is getting in a pissing contest w/ those we need to convert make them leave. If they resist reason on this matter-they are likely there deliberately to make us look bad and be less effective(an agent provocateur of sorts/anti-conversion operative).

Act Like them

Make them think YOU ARE one of them

Make calm, polite, respectful points about your concerns w/ Romney.

Do not try to convert each one before moving on-plant a few seeds during polite/upbeat-Let's kick Obama "the Socialist" out of the WH" brief chats.

If you cannot weave any points seamlessly into a conversation-better to wait for other opportunities.

We will fare far better taking the sly subversive route than going in with the Full Frontal Assault to storm the Bastille.
