When Ron Paul cut his Congressman salary down...
... to very very little - that was the real DEED. It hurt. I'm sure Carol would agree. And the interviewers did not ask him about this. Not interested.
But giving up his little SS check - into which he payed handsomely - that would be doing something POLITICALLY CORRECT. Something expected in the game. That is what his interviewers thought about asking - because it was something politically correct - and Ron Paul has not done it. So they wanted to catch him on this.
I feel that this is one of the major reasons Ron Paul has not "denounced" his SS checks, not just the sheer pragmatism. Because he never does things that a just politically correct. Because doing this is not honest.
Ron Paul ... forever.
