Why do you think it came from the Bible?

We know the concept of 'God/Creator' is not limited to the Bible or Judeo-Christian beliefs, and that travel/trade has always influenced ideas and beliefs.

Since the concept pretty much was formulized by John Locke, I think you should read his work:
