I tried a few from fresh apricots and they were kind of "tasty"? They are an acquired taste for most people. There IS "something" in them. Buying fresh apricots just isn't cost effective, but eat the kernels if you have them. (smash the pits open with a rock!)
If you want to buy just the kernels, you have to get them online or at a "hard core" health food store. There is some kind of liability problem with them "they are poisonous" (sheesh!). I paid $6.59 for 8oz. bag. I read somewhere 10 a day is the recommended intake. (DON'T Eat the whole bag at once!) I can't offer any testimonials on their effectiveness, I just eat a few every now and then for "prevention"?
