Corrected rebuttal

Since SteveMT is going to attempt to bend me over and try to derail the discussion over a technicality I made in my previous rebuttal... let me start over...

The Federal Reserve Bank is a government bureaucracy (it's true it isn't really another branch of government, even if it almost behaves like one). The congress has delegated their authority to the FRB, which means it is a government agency, even if some consider it privately owned. Also, since the President appoints the governors of the FRB and the Senate confirms them, it's certainly a government agency and not a truly private entity at all.

(The above should now be factually correct and SteveMT can now focus on the real arguments here instead of trying to distract from them. But I bet he won't.)

Monsanto doesn't have government authority delegated to it by the congress. It is in no way a government entity.

By giving the FDA more power to enforce labeling laws, you are simply empowering Monsanto more because the laws will be enforced selectively and Monsanto will more or less be writing the rules. So it would simply give Monsanto more power to entrench the monopoly you claim they have.

"In 2009, President Obama appointed Michael Taylor as a senior adviser for the FDA. Consumer groups protested the appointment because Taylor had formerly served as a vice president for Monsanto, the controversial agricultural multinational at the forefront of genetically modified food. "

Since you pro mandatory labeling trolls refuse to respond to my concerns re: regulatory capture, I'll keep repeating it like you keep repeating the arguments which me and others keep ripping to shreds. The main difference is we've repeatedly addressed your arguments while you continue to ignore ours.
