The internet has enabled easy access to a business model that builds financial support and interest for high-cost creative works in an entirely voluntary way, instead of relying on a government-granted monopoly privilege to convince people that a zero-marginal-cost infinitely reproducible product has an arbitrarily calculated non-zero value.
