but you need to be aware of both sides of the issue--
spouse and I are 'well-educated' formally, but we haven't done well professionally--
one of us regrets having gone to college; the other thinks that he/she learned how to think better--
it was certainly an exercise in discipline--
edit: I've seen some real abuse of young people (financial) going to college recently in our circle of family/friends--
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
