In other news, we had a not
In other news, we had a not so subtle reminder here in Southern Indiana. I was in Bedford for an errand, where I believe it was over 100, and the city water was on a 'boil order'. No drinking water from the tap. Combine that with the weather, and you had an utterly awful day. People were driving to stores in droves to buy bottled water and ice, moreso than any other day this year...
Edit:I shudder to think what would happen if the power was down at the same time as well. The boil order may have to go around more on word of mouth, and with lack of clean water and electronics to get 'cool' water, it could have been disastrous. It's times like these that I realize how utterly reliant most people are on society. It has, to no surprise, doubled my efforts to make myself live 'off the grid'.
