Telephone Tax

I have an unlisted telephone number, which cost $15.00 per month.
This is just a simple "land-line", and the taxes I pay for this is $10.00+.
The total bill is more than $25.00 for a $15.00 phone service.
All Federal + State + Misc. taxes.
What's with that?
A Ten Dollar fee on a Fifteen dollar bill.
