is there is no way the government is taking away anybody's guns completely here in the US. The black market for one thing is too strong, and then there are the right-wingers who are ready to defend their right to possess if it were to come down to it. Plus, with the advent of robotics, warfare is going to take on a whole new persona. Military robots can be built in one's basement, EMPs, not to mention that drone which was just recently hacked. IMO, I anticipate a civil war if this country is truly going in such a direction, with a mixture of gorilla and robotic/mechanized tactics.
