Junk Silver
I agree w/ you that junk silver will be valuable because it can be used in smaller transactions. However, I think there will be another reason why junk silver will be extra valuable - as something to trade w/ people who want "small denomination" precious metals for small transactions. In other words, people might pay a premium for your junk silver since they'll need it for their small transactions.
