+1, yes, I have noticed it too, re Wikipedia - whitewash. I think some nasty jokers have managed to enter the editorial board of Wiki, now they are playing tricks with the contents.
The world-wide internet users find Wiki a great store of data, a source, a reference, with easy access - just a click, then copy & forward.
On 3 occasions some very useful content vital at a given time went missing.
1. "Mitigating Circumstances". Two years back - when there was huge media rage against Catholic clergy regarding child molestation, I looked for "Mitigating Circumstances" (which I had read a week before) on wiki - it was missing, it led to another page with Not similar content.
2. "Sacred Names", contents removed, replaced with white-washed material.
3. "U$ury", the article went missing the day before,, I reported this on DP, then it was returned last night.
These kinds of tricks have been played before, is on-going. Many publishers of dictionaries have done the same. Oxford of UK and Princeton of U$A are leaders in the game. They even edit /change/ insert into Scriptures, re the Scofield bible building the case for zionism.
