Gary Johnson is not running against Ron Paul. Ron Paul has already said he doesn't have enough delegates to be nominated and it would take an absolute miracle to get the 600+ needed non-pro-Paul delegates needed to switch their votes to Ron Paul at the convention. Most of those promoting Johnson are Ron Paul supporters who have just given up on the beyond-remote possibility of Ron Paul being nominated by the Republican Party. In my opinion, if and when Romney is crowned GOP king in August, we shouldn't worry about the presidential election any more and focus on getting classical liberal/libertarian and Constitutional Conservative candidates elected to Congress this fall. If Ron Paul isn't on the ballot, vote for whomever you want to for president. The presidential race shouldn't concern us anymore since neither Obama nor Romney (the only two who will have a chance of winning) are good enough for us.
