" ..... a poorly worded affidavit...."? I'll say!! An affidavit is a statement of truth on something that has already happened - not on something that might happen in the future. Yet this document called itself an "affidavit". Obviously it was not any such thing and was hardly likely to have been designed by a lawyer. But invoking itself as an "affidavit" was in itself an intimidatory action by the GOP - trying to fool delegates into believing legal consequences of signing was in itself legally binding. It should have been termed an "affirmation" and nothing more.
