Kudos to Christie. How many kudos, you may ask? As many kudos as one receives when, after 31 years of being subjected to a society at war with its own people over nonviolent offenses, (and being complicit as an executor of this war oneself) driving one's economy into a tailspin, and making a business of incarceration, one suddenly realized, "Hey, this is a pretty stupid idea."

Which isn't a lotta kudos in my book.
