The problem is. . .

The problem is that the addition to this law apparently allows companies like Monsanto to advance their own business interests while the property rights of individuals are supressed. It allows citizens no due process to have their property grievances redressed by a court.

So when the wind blows the GMO seeds onto the property of the organic farmer not only does the organic farmer have no way to legally deal with the fact that his crop is ruined and his property corrupted... but the GMO company is free to demand payment from him when those patented GMO seeds start to sprout on his property.

This law will potentially render void the property rights of individual farmers that don't want to buy or use these patented GMO products.

So this isn't about outlawing or regulating GMOs... Its not about taking power from the FDA. Its about stripping away the rights of individuals.
