And I believe Ron (had he ever been in the Senate), would have

blocked it and forced a roll call vote, even in a losing effort, so that there would be a definitive record of how each Senator supported or opposed said legislation.

Pure speculation of course, but having followed Ron's political career over a couple of decades, that's what I believe he would have done, and what a man of courage and conviction should do.

I'd still swap either of the bozo Senators from GA (Isakson/Chambliss) for Rand.
