He makes the point

"If we simply got the government out of education, college tuitions would plunge."

To which she quickly retorts, "I do not agree with that."

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing. What she meant to say was, "I wish that wasn't true, so I'm going to pretend that it isn't."

She then proceeds to claim, "There are more variables at play." I would be willing to bet that she does not have a coherent explanation of what these other variables are and how they have caused prices to rise.

What she meant to say was, "I have never even thought about that point before, so I'm going to ignore it."
